Memaar Building Systems Introduction
About Michael Casper
Michael began his career in radio at KFIZ in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin while still in college at U.W. Oshkosh.
His childhood dream was to be a stand-up comedian, and he thought the way to break into the business was to get closer to the west coast, so after winning Showtime’s “Funniest Person in Wisconsin” title, he moved to California, taking a job at KSUE as the afternoon drive host.
It was short layover in Susanville before KROW–KNEV in Reno, Nevada called, offering him the morning drive slot. While living in Reno, his stand-up won him Showtime’s “Funniest Person in Nevada” title.
Radio brought him back to Wisconsin where he worked until new ownership, wanting to “go in a different direction,” summarily fired him.
Having continued to hone his skills as a stand-up in Milwaukee and Chicago, the day he was fired was the day he considered himself a full time comedian.
He moved to Chicago and spent the next ten years working his way up the comedic ladder which took him from New York to Las Vegas, and literally everywhere in between.
He appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Comedy Central, The Bob & Tom Show, and Showtime. Between clubs and corporate gigs, he acted, wrote a screenplay, and modeled in print and on the runway.
Again migrating back to Wisconsin, he spent two years as a sales and technical trainer with Mercury Marine, before landing back in radio, and beginning his voice over career.
